Mads Pedersen safely navigated the hectic sprint finale on stage 12 to finish ninth and to remain in control of the green jersey as Tim Merlier claimed the stage honours.

Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) leads Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike) by 3:36, while Remco Evenepoel (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) remains in third at 4:06.
In the points classification, Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek) remains in the lead, with an adventage of 45 points over Biniam Girmay (NSN).
Pogačar is also in charge of the mountains classification with 42 points, ahead of Vingegaard with 27.
Juan Ayuso (Lidl-Trek) is first in the youth classification ahead of Paul Seixas (Decathlon CMA CGM) by 0:13.
