The full schedule for the 2025 UCI Road World Championships

The 2025 UCI Road World Championships in Rwanda, the first ever in the Africa, entail a vast amount of races from the road race and time trial categories with it set to begin on September 21 and ending on September 28. Here's all what you need to know about the schedule ahead.

When are the 2025 UCI Road World Championships?

The opener for the week-long cycling party in Africa will be the Elite Women's individual time-trial on September 21 at 10:10 CEST, with the Women set to compete across 31.2 kilometres and taking in 460 metres of elevation gain, with the rainbow jersey up for grabs.

On the same day, the Elite Men will be taking on a 40.6-kilometre course with 680 metres of elevation to tackle, which is set to get underway at 13:45 CEST, with an expected battle between defending champion Remco Evenepoel and Tadej PogaÄŤar.

Day two of the UCI World Championships on September 22 sees the U-23 category take to the ITT course with the U-23 Women beginning at 10:30 CEST on a 22.6 kilometre course, and the U-23 Men getting underway at 13:35 CEST on a 31.2 kilometre effort.

Day 3, September 23, is the day when the next generation of cycling's time-trial talents get to lay their mark with the Junior Women starting their 18.3-kilometre effort against the clock at 10:45 CEST, followed by the Junior Men's edition of 22.6 kilometres commencing at 14:00 CEST.

Reaching the midpoint of the 2025 World Championships, September 24 is the day of the team time trial mixed relay with the mixed team's completing a 41.8 kilometre effort which begins at 12:30 CEST.

Day 5, September 25, is the day of the Women U-23 road race, with riders such as Marion Bunel, Paula Blasi and Fleur Moors, amongst others, to battle it out on the 119.3 kilometre course, with 2435 metres of elevation gain to tackle.

Day 6, September 26, is another day for the young talent in the Men's category, but this time for the road races in the Junior and under-23 categories. The day begins with the Junior road race at 08:00 CEST, which is 119.3 kilometres with 2435 metres of elevation, with the U-23 beginning at 12:00 CEST, with 3350 metres of climbing across 164.6 kilometres. Expect to see a battle between the likes of Jarno Widar and Lorenzo Finn.

Moving on to day 7, September 27, it's back to the Women, with the Junior Women road race in the morning, followed by the Elite Women road race in the afternoon. The Junior Women's is a 74-kilometre course with 1520 metres of climbing, action for that gets underway at 08:20 CEST. The Women's Elite rounds off the day's action. Demi Vollering and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot are set to battle it out on the 164.6-kilometre route, with 3350 metres of elevation. Action begins at 12:05 CEST.

Wrapping up the World Championships, Day 8, September 28, will be the Elite Men's road race with Tadej PogaÄŤar aiming to defend the rainbow jersey against the likes of Remco Evenepoel and Isaac Del Toro. The 267.5-kilometre race taking in 5,475 metres of elevation begins at 09:45 CEST.
